Rev. Colin L. Orffer
 
Born in Pretoria, South Africa, as the grandson of missionaries E.L. & Nona Freeman, Colin came to the U.S. with his parents, Brian and Sharon Orffer, at a young age and has lived in Washington for the past three decades. He received an apostolic-based education at Olympic Christian Academy, and went on to attend Kent Christian College, University of Delaware and Northwest University, majoring in Theology and Philosophy with a minor in Psychology.

In addition to ministerial work, he has had various vocational responsibilities. Starting in the technology field in 1996, he worked at Intel as part of a team developing a new line of processors, now known as Pentiums, and released Sony's first PC venture, called the VAIO. Since 1997, he has been at Microsoft Corporation, with project credits including: Athena, Memphis, Whistler, Blackcomb, Tungsten, Avalon, Magneto, Crossbow, and Longhorn. Since September 13th, 2001, he has been working exclusively on security and encryption technologies in networking and Windows, vital to key customers like the U.S. State Department and Israeli Defense Force.

Bro. Orffer began youth ministry while at Bible College in Dover, DE, and has since spent more than ten years on the Washington District youth board in various capacities including Sectional Director, Secretary, President and all-propose gofer. He resides in McCleary, WA with his wife Brenda and two beautiful daughters Nadia Cossette and Arianna Michal, where he assists the pastor, directs the youth department and serves as board secretary of Olympic Christian Center.
